To ensure compliance with the Private Security Services Act 2004, all personnel working as a security officer or door security personnel must undertake and successfully complete training by an Approved Security Industry Trainer. This training includes lectures and individual assessments. These assessments include two Practical Skills Demonstrations (one of which is video taped), completion of four Workplace Familiarisation checklists and a forty question written exam. This is not the Private Security Authority licence; it is the approved course which is part of obtaining your licence.
